More FAQs About Toenail & Fingernail Fungus

Q: My toenail fungus is not that bad. Do I really need your product?
A: Without addressing the issue nail fungus will continue to infect your toenails. Although it may take a while, nail fungus usually gets worse over time.

Q: How safe is Fitnails antifungal formula?
A: There are no known side affects with our product. Unlike oral treatment options for nail fungus, which could have serious side effects, Fitnails works from the outside in - targeting the problem, not the whole body.

Q: How is Fitnails Antifungal formula applied?
A: Our product is applied by massaging a small amount of cream to the entire surface of the fingernail or toenail as well as the surrounding skin and cuticle. An alternative method of applying is to use a cotton swab or cutip, but our research has shown massaging the cream into nail and surrounding skin is most effective. In addition to combining the most advanced antifungal ingredients, fitnails was also designed for the active lifestyle. Most topical toenail treatments need to set for several minutes before covering with footwear, but fitnails antifungal cream allows users to apply the product and immediately put on socks, shoes, sneakers or any other type of footwear.

Q: How often do I apply Fitnails antifungal formula?
A: So that you get the best results, apply our product twice daily to the infected areas by massaging into the toenail and surrounding skin, especially after bathing. For faster eradication of the infection and to enhance results an emery board can be used periodically (weekly) on the nail surface prior to applying our product.

Q: Is Fitnails Antifungal formula scented?
A: Our product does have a pleasing medicinal scent as a result of the ingredients we use but we don't intentionally scent our product. Most users are quite pleased with the scent, especially those who have tried other antifungal products.

Q: How long before my nails start looking better?
A:
Most users report that they start seeing results within a 2-4 week period. However, you need to be realistic about how long it will take to have completely clear nails. Healthy toenails take at least 9 months grow out while fingernails take about six months to grow out. There is currently no product on the market, prescription or over-the-counter that will completely clear your nails in a shorter time frame. Nails grow out, not up from the skin so once they are damaged the only way to obtain clear, healthy nails is to eradicate the fungus which will allow a healthy environment for the new nail growth. We are aware of other companies that claim that you can obtain clear, healthy nails in a shorter time frame but they are being misleading.

Q: How long will I need to use Fitnails? - USAGE SCHEDULE
A:
The typical course of treatment is as follows:

Toenails: 6 - 9 months

Fingernails: 4 - 6 months

You must understand that nail fungus is a progressive and recurring condition. Even if successfully treated, nail fungus may come back. We understand that this can be frustrating, so we have devised a maintenance plan which is highly recommended. If you choose not to follow our maintenance plan early detection of a recurring nail fungus is very important.

Maintenance Plan - Toenail | Fingernail Fungus

Q: How can I maintain healthy, clear nails?
A:
Once you are certain that your nails are clear of fungus we recommend that users apply our product 1 - 3 days per week to maintain clear, healthy nails. The benefit of our maintenance program is that it allows users to continue with their active lifestyle without the hassles or concerns of the other types of preventative maintenance that usually don't work.

The number of times per week you should apply our product during maintenance should be based on the extent of your original infection (mild = 1 day per week, severe = 3 or more days per week). In general, toenail infections are more difficult to treat and maintain than fingernail infections.

Q: I didn't follow your maintenance plan and my infection is back - what should I do?
A:
Begin a full treatment program immediately by applying our product to all nails on the infected hand or foot twice daily. Do no try to follow our maintenance plan because the extent of the fungus is not known and you risk spread of the fungus deeper into the nail bed or to other nails. Once you have determined that the infection is gone again you can then begin the maintenance plan.

Q: Are there other uses for Fitnails Antifungal Cream?
A:
Yes. In addition to use on the nails, our product can also be used topically on the skin. Our product kills all types of fungi including those that cause athletes foot, jock itch, ringworm, and almost any other type of fungus.

Q: How long will your product last?
A:
Each bottle contains 4 ounces of Fitnails Antifungal formula. Under normal conditions one bottle will last a minimum of 30 days, which assumes all nails on the hands or feet will be treated. For the first 6 months we recommend applying the product to all fingernails or toenails on each hand or foot that is infected to prevent the fungus from reoccurring and to ensure faster results. After 6 months you can just treat the affected areas and one bottle can last considerably longer.
